Once-in-a-lifetime Ness t-shirts commemorate the end of an era!
This year we reach a major milestone in the history of the excavation – the final season of fieldwork. So, to mark the occasion, we’ve produced a Ness of Brodgar t-shirt for the first time.
The limited-edition, commemorative t-shirt was made available to newsletter subscribers at the end of March to gauge demand. And it sold out!
But we’ve now replenished stocks and are delighted to put them on general release.
Made from heavy cotton, the t-shirts come in three colours – black, navy and dark green – and are printed on front and back.
The inspiration for the front was the glorious Neolithic art incised on the huge decorated stone deposited under one of Structure Ten’s internal buttresses. The back panel outlines some key moments in site’s discovery and 20-year excavation history.
The t-shirts are a limited edition, produced in separate batches over the next few months. Initially only available online, they will also be stocked in the site shop over the dig season.
