The Ness of Brodgar site is only open to the public during the summer excavation period.

If, during the dig season, you want a private or out-of-hours tour – with site director Nick Card (if he is available) or Sigurd Towrie – we ask for a minimum donation to project funds of £250 or £12 per head, whichever is the larger.

When we are not excavating, the archaeology is covered over and there is no public access.

Out-of-season tours are possible and for these we also ask for a minimum donation of £250 or £12 per head, whichever is the larger.
