Christmas and sunsets – new cards on our online shop

Although we can’t really believe it, its that time of year again when thoughts turn to the festive season!

So if you’re on the lookout for some Christmas cards and want to help boost our excavation coffers, our 2022 cards are now available from the online shop.

This year we’re offering packs of five Christmas cards (two robins, a snowy otter and the Watchstone in rare, but fabulously snowy, conditions, and a wonderful wintry aerial shot out over the Brodgar isthmus and the Harray and Stenness lochs. We’ve not put in a greeting, leaving that to you.

We hope you like them and if you do, their purchase will help us dig again, and keep going with our research.

We’re also bringing you five of Nick’s fabulous Ring of Brodgar sunsets.  For us, here in Orkney in darkest November and December, the intensity of the sun earlier in the year is a memory we need conjured back up, and maybe it’s the same for you. If that’s the case, enjoy what we live with when these sunsets happen. Spectacular!
