One of the 80 plus stone spatulate tools recovered from the Ness to date (ORCA)

The spatulate stone tools found at the Ness over the past few years were the subject of a research project in 2019.

Archaeology Institute UHI graduate Gary Lloyd was awarded a Carnegie Vacation Scholarship to complete the research, which focused on the spoon-like artefacts, of which over 80 have been found to date.
