Seven years ago today we found the only example of a carved stone ball from the Ness to date.
After a tremendous response to the first batch, we have a limited number of replica carved stone balls back in stock to raise much-needed funds for the excavation.
The life-sized replicas are plaster reproductions of the Ness ball by by Orkney potter Robin Palmer, created using Joan Rodwell’s mould of a model made by Babette Barthelmess.
