A second tiny bead from Structure Five’s occupation deposits

The processing of environmental samples from the site has produced a second tiny bead fragment from Structure Five – the earliest excavated building on site (c.3300BC).

Like the example found in February, the new bead is millimetres in diameter but came from a different occupation level. The first came the primary occupation layer but the latest was from the other end of the scale – the abandonment of Five’s original section and its decommissioning, perhaps around 3100BC.
