Online lecture – The Stonehenge Hidden Landscapes Project and the Durrington Walls Pits Circle

The Society of Antiquaries of London lecture, The Stonehenge Hidden Landscapes Project and the Durrington Walls Pits Circle, by Professor Vincent Gaffney.

The Stonehenge Landscape Project has carried out extensive remote sensing surveys and the data from these can now begin to be integrated with other studies and excavations within this key landscape and provide further insights into the structure of features at greater scale.

Prof Gafney explains how the recent discovery of a circle of massive features encircling the Durrington Walls henge is an an example of how this information is adding and transforming our understanding of the landscape and will present this new information and consider the larger value of such work.
