A plea to potential volunteers…

With all our volunteer places for the 2020 excavation full, we’re already receiving a flood of inquiries about 2021.

Could we ask that anyone interested in volunteering next year hold off contacting us until October 2020, by which time we will know if we’ve raised the necessary funds to continue excavation in 2021.

Once we know the 2021 season is going ahead, preference is given to volunteers with archaeological experience and who are able to work on site for two weeks.

Although we are full for volunteers for the 2020 excavation, if you would still like to feel part of this amazing project, get up very close to the actual archaeology and contribute to the project’s success, we are always in need of extra pairs of hands to assist with the removal of the winter covers on July 6-7 and replace them on August 19-21, 2020.
