Fundraising knitting packs now in stock

A local source – a few of Orkney Tweed’s flock.

Since launching the first fundraising Ness knitting pattern back in January, we’ve been asked by many about how and where to get the wool.

Good news. We’ve now got a range of knitting packs in stock, containing both wool and pattern(s), and they’re ready to ship.

The Orkney Tweed wool is produced here in Orkney and the colours are inspired by the colours of Ness stone, soil and pottery.

There are six packs to cater for every requirement. Each contains wool, pattern(s) and a Ness postcard – all in a handy cotton bag. They can be bought here.

The patterns for the Tam o Brodgar and Brodgar Mitts are still available as separate downloads for anyone wanting to use their own wool and colour scheme.

All proceeds from the sale of the patterns and packs goes directly to Ness of Brodgar excavation funds.
