Woodturned pieces on offer to benefit Ness excavation fund – SOLD

Orcadian woodturner Michael Sinclair has made another two beautiful bowls which are being offered to Ness followers to help boost our excavation funds.

The first is an Orkney sycamore turned bowl (80mm x 130mm) which is decorated using friction burnt lines and hand-drawn pyrography. The bowl, which has been coloured using haematite, is offered for sale at £135.

Ness bowl 2The second bowl is an Orkney sycamore, round-bottomed, turned bowl (95mm x 145mm). It is decorated with friction burnt lines and hand-drawn pyrography and coloured with a blue wood stain. The bowl sits on a black hemp ring and costs £145.
