Day Thirty-One

Nothing to do with today’s Trench P clean-up but here’s a picture of the standing stones outside Dig HQ – just to show we do get lovely days in Orkney… sometimes… (Jo Bourne)

Clean-up operation in Trench P

It’s been an incredibly busy day on site, with the efforts of all remaining 60 plus diggers diverted to a massive clean-up of Trench P, ahead of photography tomorrow and the creation of new 3D models.

With all hands on deck to make sure the completely uncovered trench was looking its very best for the photographs, there’s no archaeology to report on today, but here’s a selection of pictures, from Jo and Sigurd, of today’s operation.
