Tiny bead fragment from Structure Five
The ongoing processing of environmental samples from the site has yielded another little treasure – another tiny bead fragment.
The exquisitely crafted stone bead is a mere 2mm in diameter and came from the primary occupation layer of Structure Five, the earliest excavated building on site.Â
The fact someone was able to craft such a miniscule artefact is testament to their skill, patience and eyesight!
