Diary extra – 3d model of Joanne’s ‘jigsaw puzzle’ pot…
In May, we highlighted volunteer Joanne Greaves’ ongoing work painstakingly piecing together a section of Neolithic pot from multiple sherds.
The fragments were found in the upper fill of the “mega-drain” running beneath Structure Twelve and Joanne’s ultimate jigsaw has revealed a section of a beautifully decorated vessel featuring a repeated triangle motif with delicate impressions and dots.
With the assistance of Paul Durdin, we now have a 3d model of the reconstructed vessel.
