New book on sale in Kirkwall this weekend and limited edition hardback in online shop
Our new book, Ness of Brodgar: Elements of Architecture, has arrived in Orkney and once it’s reached dig headquarters, we’ll start posting it to all those who have pre-ordered copies.
But if you are in Orkney, there’s two chances to pick up a copy in Kirkwall this weekend. Woodturner Michael Sinclair, who has some stunning Neolithic-inspired pieces for sale on our online shop, will have copies of the book at the Christmas Fayre in Kirkwall Grammar School on Saturday, December 6, and Sunday, December 7.
Also on Saturday, the book’s author, Professor Mark Edmonds, will be selling copies at the Orkney Authors Book Fair at the Peedie Kirk, Kirkwall, between 2pm and 4pm.
An added bonus is that we’ve received a number of hardback copies of the book from the printers. Only 45 copies of this limited edition are available, and these can be ordered from our shop (priced £30 excluding P&P) on a first-come, first-served basis.
Talking of the online shop, the last date for UK Christmas orders is Sunday, December 14, to allow us to get packages sent before the last posting date of December 17.
Have a browse at all our books, glass work, turned wood, t-shirts (the last few!), knitting kits, jewellery, replica carved stone balls, cards and prints. Anything you buy, helps fund the ongoing work!
We’re happy to keep taking orders over Christmas but won’t be sending goods until Monday, January 5.
