Interested in geophysics? We are running two free events next months to give beginners a basic understanding of the geophysical survey process and what it can tell us.

Although we now know what lay within the main trenches, next month we are surveying the entire site, at a higher resolution than previous scans, to see what can be gleaned outside the excavation areas.

Over that period we will be hosting two free open afternoons for anyone interested in participating.

These will be on Wednesday, June 11, and Tuesday, June 17, both from 1pm.

Because numbers are limited, places will be on a first-come first-served basis. Anyone interested in taking part is asked to book by emailing nick.card@uhi.ac.uk.

The workshops are part of our Past, Present and Future outreach project, enabled with a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
