Description
Structure 12 from Sky to Stone Whiteline: The Ness from Above from Above.
Artist: Jeanne Bouza Rose
When I first saw Structure Twelve, it was flat and brown. Now there are 3D views from the spoil heap, aerial views, views from the edge of the trench and close-ups of the details found on the walls. This is my view as an artist in residence at the Ness of Brodgar in 2019.
The original work is an Orkney Woodcut print, being a Provincetown print technique which I have adapted to Orkney.
The print is surrounded by 1 inch/2.5cm border. Paper size is 16.5 x 18 inches or 42 x 46 cm
Paper is Hahnemuhle PhotoRag 308 gram
Giclée is a fine art digital printing method using specialist archival pigment inks and high-quality printers and acid-free papers. With excellent depth of colour, longevity and stability they can last for over 200 years. Jeanne uses a printer service offering museum quality giclées.
Your image will be shipped in a tube and comes with signed authentication by Jeanne. She will also send you separately, information about the creation of the work. Each print is created on order, so allow time for that process and the postal system.
Jeanne’s association with the Ness of Brodgar is a long one. She lives and works in Stromness, Orkney, and has helped the Ness financially and in many other ways, wherever she can over the years. We are very grateful and value our friendship greatly with Jeanne. This print is the result of Jeanne’s residency at the Ness in 2019 and proceeds from its sale will come to the Ness to further support the archaeological exploration of this unique site.
