Calling all spreadsheet maestros! Volunteers wanted for data input

Do you enjoy organizing information, have a knack for spreadsheets, or just want to lend a hand from the comfort of your own home? We’re looking for volunteers to help input written records into an Excel spreadsheet and will be delighted to hear from anyone who can help.
We have huge quantities of written records that need to be transferred into a structured Excel format. It’s straightforward work and vital to the Ness project. Whether you’re a spreadsheet wizard or just someone who enjoys a bit of quiet, focused inputting, your help will make a real difference.
What you’ll need:
- Access to an up-to-date version of Microsoft Excel.
- A bit of time—whether it’s five minutes or five hours, every little bit helps.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to follow a simple format.
Volunteers can do as much or as little as they like – every little helps!
If this sounds like your kind of thing, we’d love to hear from you! Just email anne.mitchell@uhi.ac.uk before September 30, 2025, including a summary of your experience with spreadsheets/Excel and an idea of how much time in a week/month you could give to the project. We’ll then get back to you by mid-October and get the ball rolling.
