Wednesday wildlife – ornithological outings

This week’s photographic selection from site director Nick Card.

Swan takes flight into the twilight.
Flyby of short-eared owl.
A great host of oystercatchers.
Little grebe surfacing after a dive.
Optical illusion - female mallard’s reflection.
Oystercatcher has a shake down.
Short-eared owl on the prowl for a mate.
Twite.
Turnstones,sanderlings and a redshank escape a large wave at the Bay of Skaill.
