Our weekly showcase of wildlife photographs from Ness of Brodgar site director Nick Card.

Female hen harrier glides past.

Success. Female hen harrier with a young rabbit it had just snatched from one of the large burrows near the Ring of Brodgar.
Female merlin with a redshank it had just caught.

Tender moments after bonding.

Please note: The fieldwork element of the Ness of Brodgar project ended in August 2024 and the excavation site is now closed to the public. Our focus is now on post-excavation analysis and publication.
