Zabrano hardwood macehead

Description

• Turned from Zabrano an exotic hardwood. This timber is excellent to use for these objects as it is very dense so the detail is sharp and the natural grain in the timber resembles the stone that the Neolithic people used to nap the original macehead which inspired Michael. It was also found in Sanday, Michael’s home island.
• A very tactile and interesting piece that looks great out on display and feels fantastic in the hand.
• The macehead is displayed on an oak ebonised base.
• Macehead approx 85mm x 55mm and the base is approx. 115mm x 60mm x 25mm
