Ness of Brodgar 2019 dig dates confirmed

The dates for next year’s eight-week excavation season have been confirmed.

Provided our funding plans come together, diggers will be back on site between Monday, July 1, 2019 until Friday, August 23, 2019. As always, we’re always grateful for your help in making sure this happens.

The open days will be on Sunday, July 21, 2019, and Sunday, August 18, 2019.

Nick Card’s pre-excavation talk, in the Orkney Theatre, Kirkwall, is scheduled to take place on the evening of June 20, 2019.

At present, guided tours are pencilled in for Monday to Friday at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 3pm.
